Hungry? How Does FREE Food Sound?

Nov 8, 2021 | Personal Finance

When Hungry and Cheap Collide

Sure, we all like a good meal deal, like a two-for-one coupon or unlimited breadsticks, but what’s even better than that? Free food, of course! And not just any free food, but the good stuff. The stuff you actually like and pay for most other times. But not this time. We’ve tracked down the top 10 places offering free food. Most of these offers are ongoing, some are for just one day, so you’ll want to pay attention to the limitations.

1.) Baskin-Robbins. All you have to do is download their app for the first time to get a free, regular-sized scoop. This is an in-app offer, and it’s ongoing.

2.) Wetzel’s Pretzels. Just like the offer above, all you have to do for free food is download the Wetzel’s Pretzel’s app and you get a free pretzel in-store. You’ll also get a free item on your birthday. This deal is ongoing.

3.) Black Angus Steakhouse. This doesn’t require an app. All you have to do is sign up for their Prime Club and you automatically receive a free dessert. Even better, you get a free steak dinner on your first birthday after joining the club. This offer is ongoing.

4.) Krispy Kreme. Got your vaccination? All you have to do is show your vax card and Krispy Kreme will give you a free donut every day for the rest of the year. Offer expires Dec. 31.

5.) Jimmy John’s. Technically free food, but first you have to join their Freaky Fast Rewards Program. After your first order through their app, you get a free eight-inch sandwich. Ongoing.

6.) Denny’s. You must see the pattern by now. When you download the Denny’s app, you earn a free Grand Slam meal from your next online order. Ongoing.

7.) IHop. Sign up for their Rewards Program and get a free stack of flapjacks on your birthday, anniversary, and right when you sign up. Ongoing.

8.) Subway. All you have to do is sign up in their Subway’s Eat Fresh Club and you receive a free six-inch sub and drink on your birthday. Ongoing.

9.) Benihana. Sign up online and get a $30 gift certificate during your birthday month. Ongoing.

10.) It’s FREE MEALS for veterans and active-duty military on Veteran’s Day (November 11) from Applebee’s, Bob Evans, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chili’s, Golden Corral, Logan’s Roadhouse, and more. You’ll want to check which restaurants are offering free meals on Veteran’s Day and which are handing out vouchers you can redeem later for free food.

You’ll want to check around online for restaurants near you offering free food, and read the fine print. Some have certain qualifications, such as you receive a kid’s meal free with the order of one adult meal, but there’s still plenty of free good-eatin’ to be had.

Bon Appetite!
